Wrinkle.
I once knew a man
A man once knew me
Eyes bloodshot from long nights
Sundays used redemption
A lifetime of long talks and held stares
Moments found, moments lost
Appreciated both.
Love flourished as bodies weakened
I sit here, hand in hand.
Stares no longer, eyes shut.
Connection fused through the only thing left, hope.
Ending moments, painfully peaceful.
I'm quiet
It's still, as he takes his last breath.
I once knew a man
A man once knew me.
