"Never let your fear, decide your fate."

Round the riverbed,
foliage in tow,
flowers whisper
of treasure unfound.

Waterfalls cascade
over thick rocks,
pouncing down into
the earth, a precious sound.

Two paths to take,
one long, one short,
a way to win a million hearts.

A man rode his horse through
canyons deep and trotted up the great peak,
and there he stood at the end
of the path, with nothing in store but his hat.

He risked his life,
for this treasure he heard of,
as he took the short path,
afraid of the long one.

And he stands on rocks as clear as glass,
realizing this path was hollow.
And with his hat, he thinks of the long one,
the path he should have followed.

I hope people will understand that taking time and discovering things along a journey are more important than doing the minimum and arriving at a destination quicker, without ever understanding the world and oneself.

Mad Ones "and those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music"

great job! i read your comment and i totally agree. takeing short cuts wont let you experience the entire journey. just because your afraid of getting hurt on the long path doesnt mean you should skip all the other wonderful things on that path. anyways, great discriptive writeing and sorry if this comment is super long. i tend to write really long ones lol.....
