Questions of Communication
dot dash dot dot dash dot
can words exist in such simple markings?
we think our words are so complex
we can explain anything
with more words we can
define to a definite point
and create a larger picture
yet they can be minimized
two little markings
transform into twenty-six
separate images
why can’t we see the meaning in pictorial words
if the meaning is in an image?
why doesn’t it translate?
how do little symbols amount to enormous ideas?
how can language all have equivalents
when it is so different?
it all is interpreted in different ways
yet we pretend it is the same
if the question “mark” is different
from a exclamation “point”
how can they ever be translated
it’s all so incredibly different
how can anything ever truly be translated?
