Changing of the Seasons
Springtime rolls around,
everything is alive.
Green paints the outside,
Spring fever fills the air.
Rain washes away the previous year,
as nature thrives around us.
Animals emerge, after long being hidden,
to enjoy the new year.
Summertime is upon us,
everything is living.
hot, humid, and free,
Nothing to do.
Sunlight takes over,
sharing the warmth.
Stresses are relieved,
and life gets better.
Fall breezes in,
everything grows old.
Dying with the warmth that once surrounded us,
goes the green.
Reds, oranges, and yellows
cover the ground,
As yet another reminder
that the cycle goes round.
Winter storms in,
everything is gone.
Blanketing the earth,
with never-ending snow.
Endless white,
traps everyone inside,
Except those few that dare to venture out,
to explore its mysteries.
Around comes spring,
just in time.
To begin the cycle again,
that keeps us alive.
