Leech
He was the villain of the tale
Complete with a sobstory for a backstory
But boohoo -- we all walk through hell once in a while
Most of us light a torch with the flames so that we still have a light to guide us
But him? He pushed others out of his way -- not caring if they got burned in the process
Enter the girl
The quintessence of all that is good and light
So good that she couldn't condemn even him for his sins and crimes
Why not? Even angels judge
She thinks she has to show him the way -- despite the fact there's a clearly labeled path
Don't steal, don't kill, don't cheat, don't lie
Why does he need a guide?
If he wants to change then who am I to interfere? Who are we to lock him away?
But change takes time
He will hurt her in the process -- the guardian angel that chose to take him in
If that's the proper term for what she is
It might be -- I hope it is
The alternative is a leech -- a pain killer and consumer
She feeds on good deeds and lives for changing men -- mainly those like him
She has a quota to keep and will not care
If in the process of changing him for the better she changes him for the worse
