Who am I?
Who am I?
I can soar, but I’m no
bird.
I’m viewed as a pest, but I’m no
rodent.
I am a creature of darkness.
Forced to conceal myself in
Day,
Hidden in the dark afraid to see the
sun.
I am a creature that waits for daylight to vanish.
Ears large enough to hear every cry you may
weep,
Teeth as large as a quarter and as sharp as a
dagger,
A nose that can seek out my prey by its
heat,
Yet I am not as evil as you may think.
Though we are viewed as vicious,
we truly are not.
Since our mothers take in forgotten
young ones
In a cave where more of us are
welcomed,
Because without a doubt we are all one.
Waiting for twilight to reveal our
beauty
When the sun sets, my colony
swarms.
All you see is a dark cloud heading for a place where our
prey is common.
Who am I? I Am That Bat.
