Tonight
It ends the day; takes away the bright
And fills the children’s hearts with fright
On the heels of the fleeing light
A little something called the night
It comes down without a sound
From the sky down to the ground
Until you see it all around
It creeps up without a sound
The darkness comes, it’s here to stay
Until the very next day
When sunlight scares the night away
And people come outside to play
