Cantering through sunny streets,
Passing others along life’s way,
Like frogs leaping across water,
Not knowing vultures are overhead watching,
Stand, stretch, step off again,
A flap of wings,
Glides us toward the finish line *
Loved ones wave, *
POP startles!
Legs suddenly blown from me,
Falling down to the ground,
…Soon light fades to dark…
