The Story Has to End
‘There’s no such thing as writer’s block’,
As I once told my friend,
You write a story if you wanna,
Then you reach the end.
I held to my resolve,
Until I met the one,
A line I can’t continue,
In a story I’d begun.
It wasn't lack of creativity,
My mind was overflowing,
But the story on my paper,
I just couldn't keep it going.
It wasn't that I didn't care,
In fact, I cared too much,
I was closely nearing towards a close,
A close I didn't want to touch.
I don’t finish the sentence,
Of a story I begin,
