About Me
1.
Sometimes I lose myself in space,
pieces of me peeling off in cracks in the cosmos,
and sometimes, I don't come back.
2.
Loving feels like misty mornings
and tea.
It is not euphoria.
It is not mania.
3.
In spring, I will go hunting for daffodils.
Don't pull me back when I scar myself on thorns,
or snag my skin on briars.
Good things are worth blood and holes.
4.
There will be days when I will not feel like living.
I need you to help me to get up and try again.
5.
Creation makes me feel powerful. To form my own worlds,
to shape my own stories, that is to be god. Reality
is so much more unpredictable.
6.
Maybe I need to swallow my pride,
but maybe you need to accept that it's okay to love yourself.
7.
When I was younger, I said
that some things weren't worth my time,
when I really felt that I could never be good at them.
8.
How many times will I let you down?
Once for every expectation you have.
Don't set boundaries.
9.
Parents are supposed to love you
and mine do.
They're not perfect
but I don't need anything more.
10.
A girl I used to know told me
that when I fell down, I got right back up.
She was surprised at how pain didn't frighten me.
I need to be more like my 1st-grade self
(although being taller would be nice).
11.
I aim to misbehave.
