"Are you familiar with the phrase 'Man's reach exceeds his grasp?' It is a lie. Man's grasp exceeds his nerve."

When the pieces inside of you are broken
And all you want to do is reassemble them to what they were before
To reconnect those lost fragments with that other someone
To find again what once was discovered
And to be as happy as once we were.
To find light in the dark, guiding us home,
To find hope when lost, carrying us on
When searching yourself for the other half of the lost puzzle
Hoping that the lost puzzle will soon find you
And that the pieces will fit together again better than before
And the mistakes we made the first time are not made a second

The broken inside follow life blindly
Feeling their way, blind, along the darkened trail
Trying to stay on the narrow path, what leads us is unknown
But when we find it we have hope again
That the Broken may be named the Whole

When I wrote this, I was going through a particularly difficult period of my life. In transition between two schools, I found myself alone, and I wrote to release the emotions I'd been keeping pent up. This was one of the many expressions of my sorrows.
