Curiosity
Not knowing who he is
Or where he is-
Feeling left out
Everyone has one
Except for you-
Being lied to
By your closest relatives
Mostly him-
Being made fun of
But afraid to ask
Afraid of the truth-
Then it came out
Boom
I asked-
The dirty truth
About him
The man he is-
It was brief
Enough
For me-
He left on 9/13/00
And he left
And has not come back-
Mom wrote letters
Never responded
Even to this day-
He’s my dad
He’s not in my life
I don’t miss him
At all
