Forgotten
The sun shines away
On a simple rose on the way
In the breezy wind
The rose’s torn stem will never mend
Sitting in an abandoned meadow far away
Surrounded by dead grass as it lay
Alone, it sits as if time is frozen
There sits a beautiful rose, never chosen
The world around it still moves on
Blooming at the break of dawn
Is it past? Is it present?
No one knows this place is pleasant
Even when the world moves on
When everyone else is long gone
There a rose still sits, moving never
Forgotten forever
