The Sun

Filling the world with light and joy
Sharing heat that seems to wrap around us,
The sun hugs us like a blanket
To heat our shivering souls
The sun always lighting the Earth with bright light
Yet the beauty can not be seen

Although it gives such bright light,
We can not capture the image with our eyes.
The unseen yet vital sun
Seems to hide behind its light.
What lies within is unknown to man?
Concealed beneath the joyous heat and light
Lies a secret unknown to man.

The friendly danger lies above
Watching every step we take.
It allows us to live.
However we must be careful,
For it can be deadly.
One day the sun may lose its life,
Unable to with hold the light.
And we must inevitably vanish as well.

We rely so much on the
Unseen sun that glows
With such light and heat.
The sun that protects us,
Yet can be of danger as well.
Our life begins and ends with the sun.
The mysterious object that guards us
Will bring us to our doom.
