The Ghost In my head
I once met a girl who was not there
For she was never gone nor was she ever here
I once met a girl, whose voice I can hear, but could not fathom
For she wasn’t speaking nor was she singing
I once met a girl whose face I knew, but I could not recognize
For her face was beautiful, yet haunting of unknown mysteries
I once met a girl who was my closest friend, but I never even knew her name
But one day she no longer appeared
For she was never here nor was she ever there
Forever will she linger as the Ghost in my head.
