Old fashioned mind
Simply irresistible
Flannel shirt over lapping pockets of skinny jeans
Dimples so deep
Sleepy eyes peering through a layer of glass
Warn sneakers gliding across the tile
Art portfolio in grip
Melts my heart every time
Conversations so different
Sweet baby with a damaged soul
Sweet baby with a confused heart
Smoking a joint to keep sane
Why do I love you so much?
Beautiful flaws
Holding me close
Hands intertwined
Pull me close
Silence is okay
Avoiding is not
Wearing my heart on my sleeve
Put on a shelf
He will never want me
As much as I crave him

The author's comments:
I wrote this about a boy who was different and whose flaws I admired.
