Images
Flashing by,
An uncontrolled chaos
of images.
Stopping not
This ever-shifting
Blaze of color.
One halts
Just long enough
To see a face.
Clearly defined,
Like a picture, before
Moving on.
In the mix
Of moving
Images.
One face
Appears again.
More frequently,
until,
It fills the space.
The only image
Visible.
One thousand
Emotions
In one thousand
Frames.
Flickering by
Tears and laughter
All beautiful.
And then,
Gone.
The face
Fades away
To let the other
Images return.
Color
is gone.
Light
Has darkened.
Memories
Are blurred.
Flashing by,
An uncontrolled chaos
Of images.
Stopping not,
This ever-shifting
Monochrome
Of Grey
