The New Girl
I am spring.
I bloom into a new person.
People are becoming eager,
For it’s becoming warm,
There is always something new.
Whether it be a new beginning,
Or fresh start.
I am colorful.
I’m always ecstatic,
Hardly ever sorrowful.
I try to look for the worthy,
Instead of the unscrupulous.
Kids play outside,
while the sun is shining optimistic.
I can be the one to make people smile,
or to put in a good mood.
While the kids are full of merriment,
Playing in the fresh green grass,
I sit and make jokes of them,
As they tumble on their bottom,
Then suddenly down the hill.
