Hatred
The nights and days blurred together
The past week was nothing but a tiny memory
Wanting to be replaced
Replaced with laughter
With hope
With faith
With anything but your name
You said you wanted to talk
You said you were done
I should not have listened
For what did that bring me
It brought pain
It brought sorrow
It was something even the happiest song could not replace
All I can hear is the screams
The hatred words
The softest touch makes me cringe
For all I can feel is the pain
My eyes don’t see the lies
All they see are the bruises
The cuts
The blood surrounding my room
My mind is filled with questions
Why me
What did I do
Was I really that blind
My mind is also filled with knowing
Knowing it wasn’t my fault
Knowing you were a monster
The nights and days start coming back
The past week was a memory
That can be replaced with laughter
With hope and with faith
Your name no longer haunts me
Your lies no longer linger
All I see and want is me!
