Hope enlights my eyes
my inner child swells up inside me
school, parents, adulthood always pushes her down
now her big brown eyes take over me
i want to reach out and catch a snowflake on my tongue
i want to lose my worries,
make snow angels
i want to have a snowball fight with my big brother
forget all he’s done
i want to fall into the snow
i cant
the walls of the school are in my way
force me to stay a teenager
they push my inner child back inside
the snow just beyond the windows taunt me of my childhood
they show me what i had and i let it slip through my fingers
i wish i could play in the snow

Everyone gathers around the around the schools window as fat snowflakes hit the grass.
