Think Twice
Its funny how things can seem so great, but be shattered in reality. Its funny how we choose the best places to live, yet we can never outrun the darkness. When i look around i see dead, decaying forests, spotted with few healthy trees. It makes me wonder why only those few get to live and what the others did to deserve death. It's funny how neighbors can be the complete opposite, light and dark, day and night. Its funny how the people having suffered tragedy have the most genuine hearts, yet we judge them, overlook them, and place them in mental institutes. Its funny how people call themselves heroes and kind people, yet their shadows are the darkest. We laugh and smile, the greatest symptom of sadness-Another thing we overlook. We want things and thats all we live for. We want family, money, happiness, love. We want good grades and nice jobs only because we want to show off. When we lay someone in their final resting place, we want them back. Some of us want to go with. We want everything, but what do we need? We need food, and yet we become gluttonous. We want more than what we need. We need shelter, and yet we want the best housing. We need water, and yet we want something else, containing flavor and eye-catching color. We want what we dont need, and suddenly our life becomes "we need what we want." And i think its funny how we take the meaning of life and twist it around. Its funny how we cant be satisfied.
