Boston
Boston
Popcorn, from the field
where so many games I viewed.
Red Sox still my team.
How I want to be there,
Boston
Sweet air, from the sea
a breeze, a smell so sweet.
I am at peace.
All because I am home
Boston.
I long for a view
of a sailboat out at sea;
of the crimson banner reading “Ve Ri Tas”;
of a harbor, where history was made;
of a cobble stone street, where history has stood;
of the old north church, where this all started.
Boston.
A word that means the world to me;
As if without it, I would cease to be.
A city so beautiful
a town so sweet.
A word that means home to me
Boston.
