My Children
Twitching noses,
 soft fur,
 and gentle nibbles.

 I miss them always,
 my sweet,
 fluffy babies.

 Small claws,
 long tails,
 and beady eyes.

 So tiny
 and so much
 trouble.

 Running,
 endless squeaking,
 round and round.

 At times it pauses
 and then
 keeps going.

 Little legs
 pumping away
 all through the night.

 When I hear it,
 loud,
 obnoxious,
 frustrating,
 I remember that
 no matter what
 I will always love them.
