Hiding
I am the champion in Hide and Seek.
I've been playing for fifteen years and a week.
I’m hiding behind a mask of smiles.
No one has found me in awhile.
Hiding behind a wall of brain,
hoping smarts will hide the pain.
Days, months, years fly by,
and no one has found me. Why?
“Just give up and be found” I internally shout.
but my hiding spot is safe, I won’t come out.
Not hiding, but stuck in my spot in dismay.
Please someone find me, and show me the way.
This game of hide and seek has gone far too long.
Has anybody even been searching at all?
