Different
We’re different
We speak a different native language
Dress different
Look different
Different sizes and colors
We are bizarre
We have more or less than they do
Because of this, we are locked away
In colossal or miniature boxes
with silver bars surrounding us
We’re put up for their entertainment
Whips, fire, and starvation are used
to mentally and physically restrain us
Tormented to the point of fighting each other
putting our anger at ourselves
because of our rage
we can’t handle on how to get it out
so we put it on us
we dont want to harm each other
If we refuse, the punishment will be fatal
forced to intercourse and give birth
Ripped muscles and tendons
destroyed organs
Ripped off our skin to replace theirs
Still breathing our last breaths
Seeing our last moments
Hearing our last sounds
Feeling our soul leaving
That’s not all
There’s experiments and tests
used to make remedies for them
while we’re in pain
screaming our lungs out
burned with a birthmark
Less and less are for us
Not enough food and shelter
we’re always on the move
Taken away from our homes
Until it’s all gone
Buildings, cities, and roads created
Land isn’t a cheap thing that can be taken
Separation between families and friends
lost forever in the ocean a thousand miles away
never to see our loved ones again
Taking what’s ours is wrong
for hurting
for torturing
our loved ones and us
this tug-of-war will not end
this cycle of our deaths will not be seen or heard
we don’t want revenge
we won’t hurt
since we are still very weak
but we will, in our power,
ask them this
and make them think:
“In a pit of darkness searching to see
What will you do?
knowing yet nothing is done
What will you do!?”
