aphelion
I have yet to graze your skin
 but I can still feel your pulse beneath
 my trembling fingertips.

 I am at my aphelion, I fear
 Icy hands reach out for me
 drawing me in
 You feels so far away in winter.
 Romanticized chills pull me away
 further and further
 I am lost in the heavens;
 like the multitudes of stars
 I orbit around you but I
 am quickly growing weary, my dear
 for I love you far deeper than
 you could ever reciprocate.
