I’ll drive you to school
Would you like to walk with me
It’s freezing outside like in the North Pole
My best option is the drive
I decide to walk with my friends

We’re gliding to school on the ice
A snowball slams on the back of my neck
Snow sliding onto my warm back, I shiver
A group of three girls is giggling behind us
We decide to attack with snow like bombs in a war

They come closer and closer
We recognize them
They are in our grade
We wait for them to catch up
All of us talk the rest of the way

I will be looking back at this
One of the best days in my life
Made new best friends
I picked walking over driving
Cold and fun over warm and lazy
