Listen
Listen
I want my words to cut you
Each letter, each word, each sentence, maring your cold, smooth skin
Let the meaning of my words draw warm blood
Crimson droplets will fall rapidly like the sentences that pour out of my mouth
They will paralyze you
Listen
There’s nothing else you can do
Syllables will fall heavily upon your chest, penetrating deep into your core
Pounding your gut
A persistent ache that grows stronger with each phrase
I want my words to be powerful
Strong enough to break through to you
Strong enough to make you feel something.
