One Year Ago Today
One year ago today everything was different
But today
Instead of the sadness overcoming me it just rests in me
The tears roll down my face, they do not stream
No more denial
You are gone; you have been for a year
But today the snow falls in your honor
Just like it did one year ago today
The same church
The same faces
The same day
Here I am
Here you are not
But today tells me that it will all be ok.
