Which is Love?
They say their love is the best.
How could you live without it?
It’s all they want it’s all they think;
They get drunk on it
until they are hungover.
Traveling between the dozens of loves of their lives,
They are always sure this will be the one.
The same mistakes are always made,
And the problems never go away.
They hate and they tear down;
They are selfish and sly.
Relationships only exist to serve one’s own purpose.
It’s a phenomenon incorrectly called love.
It is flawed and tortuous;
Broken hearts are abundant;
None are satisfied.
There is no trust and no assurance.
Everyone doubts and suspects.
Every endeavor ends in failure,
Yet, despite all this they look down on me
Because I refuse to take part in the lie.
I believe there is something better.
If I can wait,
I will find something that is true
Something more than a high,
That leaves you hungover.
It will be stronger than the next beautiful person that walks by.
It will be everything theirs is not.
One day I will find someone who agrees;
One day we will show them what they can never have!
