A part of Me

I look around
What do I see?
wealth,
happiness,
families,
An opposite of me.


Sobriety is strange
What do I see?
hard liquor,
bars,
binging sessions,
That’s part of me.


Pain is always there
What do I see?
cutting,
stabbing,
attempt to end a life,
That’s part of me.


The World is never stopping.
An opposite of me.
