Too Many Thoughts
The noises fill my head and never stop
like a bird outside my window that won’t shut up.
I wish it would stop so I could think clearly.
My thoughts are like a river running wild after a storm.
There’s no stopping it.
The noise is endless.
If it would just slow down maybe then I could form coherent thoughts.
It’s all just a mess in my head.
Nothing is organized or put away right,
like my unfolded clothes all stuffed and crammed into drawers.
