The Hell
Many say it doesn’t happen.
Or that the world is too sensitive.
How can they say that?
People are quitting because of it,
Quitting this game of life.
They quit because “the many” can’t see.
They can’t see what’s staring them in the face.
How can they not see it?
It’s everywhere.
In schools,
On the internet,
Over texts and calls.
It’s everywhere.
Just look around,
Some unfortunate kid is going through it,
Enduring this Hell.
They say “its kids just being kids”,
That they’re being facetious.
How can they say that?
Is it some sadistic game to them?
Is it a game when someone takes their life because of it?
Fortuitously, not everyone quits.
Some rise up,
Through the fire,
The laughing,
The name calling,
The spite.
They rise out of the fire like the phoenix.
Some overcome.
But why must we overcome?
When we can be kind.
When we can accept.
When we can spread affection,
Not abhorrence.
Why must some overcome,
And some die?
When we can stop it?
When we can rid this world,
Of it.
The Hell too many endure:
Bullying.
