"Just One Person"
Wrapped in my mind again.
A dark dull place
Filled with memories.
Tied up in the knots
Of what is and what will never be.
Impossible dreams
That will never die
Because I hold onto them
With every ounce of life
I have left.
Forever hoping to be something
More than an atom
On this turning time bomb.
Just another page in a book
Turned and forgotten.
My page number will soon
Be scribbled out and lost
Among the words.
Another moment gone.
Another breath taken
From my ever beating heart.
