Favorite Quote:
In the end, we only regret the opportunities we didn't take.

You're the sort of boy
people write novels about,
and I'm the sort of girl
who's name is scribbled on the back of a napkin
left on a table
on the last night train
out of her mind.

The author's comments:
I write a lot of lengthy poems and not many short ones so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's very much about not feel adequate and wanting someone one can't have. It also shows a stark contrast between the seemingly collected personality of the boy as opposed to the lost personality of the girl - as it's so short I leave a lot down to interpretation, though. The title means "a vague feeling of sadness seemingly without cause", which I feel reflects the sadness the girl possesses in this poem.
