The thunder rumbles the ground,
It quakes at the flash of lightning,
The rain rushes to the ground,
As I stand in it, I hear the splash,
The cool touch I feel when it hits my skin,
I shudder but remain still, waiting for the thunder to come again,

The sky flashes bright again,
You feel the earth growl beneath your feet like an animal,
You see it ripple across the water,
It soothes the soul to the core,
Sleeping silent until it shatters across the earth creating a deafening sound,

You can finally sleep,
The thunder as your gaurdian,
Protecting you from the storm,
Sleep silent child, you are protected.
