He wandered the earth searching,
For the girl with the starry eyes.
He thought he could not be the only one,
And so he took to find,
The girl with night written across her,
For everyone to see,
Little did he know,
That day
Was what he would need.

Patiently she waited,
For the boy with the starry eyes,
And when he at last saw her,
She was plainly undisguised.
For starry eyes were not something found,
And seen in people throughout,
They rose like sun after storm,
And only to the boy stood out.
