A stabbing pain I cannot escape,
crawling up my spine and to my head.
It captures my state of mind,
and my ability to move.
I will never escape,
for there is not a cure.
I have to fight it.
I hope that this will not get to me,
but sometimes there is nothing I can do.

This poem is about my experience with a chronic disease that I was diagnosed with called endometriosis.
