Giving up doesn't always mean your weak. Sometimes it just means your strong enough to let go.
Bloom Where You're Planted.

There was the light
Hitting my eyes harsh
Like the sun shines through the rain

I realized it was a dream
A dream of the sun and the sky
The one I would hope to see again one day.

I reach out
With my eyes closed
And run my hand across the soft wood above me pretending its a cloud

I go to grab it
and something pricks my finger
I realize its a splinter
I open my eyes....

A tear rolls down my cheek
Realizing that it was the same as yesterday...that cold dark roof ten inches from my face

More tears roll down my cheek
and I take a deep breath
Controlling my emotions.

Because I realize
I will always dream of what I miss
And I will always wake up.

Still Dead.

(Full Title Credit goes to HornyUnicorn for giving me the idea)

My friend James helped me with coming up with an idea for this poem. It really says something. All you have to do is listen.
