Sad fingers
Press a button again
Words wash over a broken girl
Curtains close behind her lashes
Empty iris
She walks amidst haze and blur
Clarity is rare and temporary
Searching
Aimlessly

Sad fingers
Light another cigarette
Same words haunt and torment
Shy and nervous, he lets the world slip
Eyes wide looking for one
Locked
But all that's let is smoke
And sad words and fingers
