Swimming in grief
And drowning in pain
Wishing that you didn’t
Have anything to gain
Lost in despair
Searching for bliss
Wishing with all my heart
That it won’t end like this
Hoping for truth
But waiting for lies
I will never again
Let a veil cover my eyes
Scared to break down
Failing to break free
I hope one day
I can let you be
Running out of time
Falling into love
One last push
One last shove
Turning around
Walking slow
I’m not scared anymore
Time to let go
