The sloping ocean beaches
Gradually being pulled
Underneath sea level
To the heartbeats
Of two lovers.
Hundreds of miles of
Streets between them
Hands reach but
Never touch.
Well, he’s not sure what
This is going to be, but
With his eyes closed all he sees
Is the skyline, through the window,
The moon above her and
The streets below.
Holds his breath as she moves in
Tastes her lips and feels her skin.
When the time comes,
Baby don't run, just kiss me slowly.
