Missing Home
Being in the city isn't like home. I miss watching the cattle roam.
I miss my country living, those people are nothing but giving.
Here stares pierce me like daggers,
others are nothing but braggers,
They solve their problems with fibs and sometimes with shivs.
I dont fit in here,
no one is sincere.
with work boots hat and plaid i'll be glad
to go back to my country home
with hills rolling for miles
and people with they're friendly smiles.
Fresh air is what i miss
here there is no bliss
who would think,
in just a blink
I would be covered in smog and coughing in the fog
The wind blowing through the trees
now buildings are all i see,
Home country cooking now no one bothers looking.with a yelp someone cries for help
people pass by and not even try.
I sit and weep
'cause it's my country home i wish to keep
Instead i'm stuck in this city missing my itty bitty
don't give my your putty
just get me outta this city
back to my country side home
back where the cattle roam
