The Secrete Garden

Hidden behind a wall of stone
very silent and all
alone.
The flowers wait for spring
to come. Down below the snow and ice.
They wait patently to spring
from the ground
and make it green
all around.
The birds will fly from afar
to sit in the trees with
their blooming leaves.
Flowers shoot from the ground
as the song is sung
inside the great stone wall that surrounds
the secret garden.
If you are quiet
and look around you
may hear the sound of singing spring.
