Beware the Silken Sails
“All hands on deck!”
The captain screams,
and his eight legged crew scurries.
“Climb the mast ye scurvy things!
Who says we need the sea?”
High in the sails
they spin their string.
They weave their sails anew.
Nigh invisible night or day
unless soaked in morning dew.
You have only six legs,
so care for your hide.
These pirates seem almost to fly.
Beware of their sails when the captain sings:
“Hoist the colors high!”
