Stereotype Story
Just because I have a nice body
Doesn’t mean I’m anorexic
Doesn’t mean I look down on bigger people
And doesn’t mean I stick my finger down my throat
Just because I’m athletic
Doesn’t mean I pass by retaking test 10 times over
Doesn’t mean I hate “nerds”
And doesn’t mean I’m conceited
Just because I’m from Mississippi
Doesn’t mean I have to kill my supper
Doesn’t mean I think “Black is better”
And doesn’t mean everybody over yonder talk like this here
Just because you are one way
Doesn’t make it okay to be judged or to judge someone
Stereotypes should not make us
How would the world be if we were to the same?
Just because I’m different … I’m Me
