Human Nature
I get the feeling that I’m not needed
In this crazy hell of a place
My life is getting wasted
They said it’s some kind of race
Insanity fills the earth
And luxury becomes the priority
Being a stupid misfit is the threat
I thought we’re unique but all I see is similarity
I haven’t looked in the mirror
I’m guessing you haven’t as well
In this battlefield I am just like a warrior
You think you are, too, I can tell
We left our dignity at home as we were walking out the door
With it lies our happiness and dreams
Our tears fall on the ice cold floor
We don’t notice the chills, it seems
What are we really fighting for?
Is it something that would make us feel complete?
Have you asked yourself before?
Don’t we have any choice but to compete?
