Always Rains
A longing stare into a empty glass
A cloudy liquor to forget your past
The words still bite the back of your throat
As you accept the reality and begin to croak
That you were never as good as them
And you never did have a way to win
For they were the better ones
And they made that known well
 Especially when they found out
You were ready with soul to sell
And now it always rains down
And you only dream that you can drown.
