Bonds
There's a sex of ties and bonds
That cement your skeletons entwined
In a cold feverish hunger that clasps your bodies
Like the dark depths of the sea
A certain pain intrigues you
A pain that morphine cannot quench
There's a desire on your tongue for the veils to drop
For the sun to fall
And the moon to rise and blanket the dead.
A cemetery of desires and keens and touches
You never experiences
Aborted sins and dysfunctional battles
For dominance
Now eight feet under
An earth of screams and kin that claw
Your skin covered in mangled reds and ties of black
