You say I write about everything
Maybe I do
You say it's stupid
Maybe it is
You say I don't have to put pen to paper
Whenever a thought crosses my mind
That's where you're wrong
I do
If I don't sort out things by laying it out
How can I sort anything out at all?
It will be a jumbled mess in my mind
Until I can pick things out
Piece by piece
To try and paint a bigger picture
I can't just guess
I can't just let it go
I write it out
I re-read it
I try to figure it out
You can't take it away from me
There will always be writing
